Everybody's a winner.
This Pét Nat from Australia-based producer Konpira Maru is composed of 80% Sagrantino and 20% Vermentino from the Chalmers Merbein Vineyard. The vines are 11 years old on average and farmed organically. The wine was fermented in stainless steel with native yeasts, then bottled with some extra residual sugar and left to finish ferment for an additional 2 weeks.
- Konpira Maru started when two friends – Al and Sam – had a beer at a pub, and crafting wine was their creative outlet after working several years in the retail space.
- The goal was to create interesting wines people could drink on the regular that wouldn’t break the bank.
- The vines thrived on yellow brown loam sand with soft lime.
- Chips and guac.
- Victory dances.
- Gold metals.
- Opening the bottle to this song.
