Domaine Lampyres Luminescence 2020

This is the sunshine in the bottle that you need in this gloomy season. The 3 weeks, whole-cluster fermentation of the Muscat grapes allows for gentle extraction of incredibly fragrant, yet balanced aromas. Notes of potpourri, dried citrus peel, crushed pink peppercorn leap from the glass. The vibrant and refreshing acidity lifts the palate leading into a mouthwatering, spicy finish.

Pivnica Cajkov Pet Nat 'Vulcanica #5' NV

Is it Pet Nat, is it orange wine? It is both! This sparkling wine is a coferment of Pesecká Leánka and Pinot Gris that referments in the bottle with additional grape juice from the same vintage. Juicy grapefruit, sour cherry, and dried apples are balanced with savory notes of volcanic ash and sea breeze, and red clay.

Eminence Road Farm Winery Pinot Gris 'Five Dots' 2020

Made in a Ramato style this Pinot Gris shows brilliant copper color in the glass. The aromas of watermelon, red plum, and pomegranate are underlined with a chalky minerality. Probably my favorite Pinot Gris from the East Coast.

Enderle and Moll Auxerrois 2020

Auxerrois - the highly underrated grape shows its true potential in this beautiful wine! The grapes are fermented on skins for 5 days. It is then moved to large format oak barrels where the wine finishes the fermentation with 30% of skins added in and ages for about 8 months. The perfumed notes of rose petals, acacia, and ripe peach are matched by crushed almonds, cider apples, and dried pineapple on the palate. 

Do Re Mi Wine Kisi Amber 2019 

Unlike many amber wines coming from Georgia, this Kisi only spends 4 days on skins followed by fermentation and aging in Qvevri. The wine is fragrant, showing notes of beeswax, dried apricots, peach skin, and Jasmine flowers. The smooth texture is underlined with silky ad chewy tannins and vibrant acidity.

Maurer Furmint 2020

Bright, and crisp Furmint from Serbia. The grapes are partially affected by botrytis and ferment on skins for only a couple of days. The wine bursts with mouthwatering notes of grapefruit pulp, green pear, and yellow plum with more savory, spice-driven flavors picking through in the finish.
