One of these days…
Gamaret is a very special cross of Gamay and a German varietal called Reichensteiner, perfectly suited for the cooler climate where Quebec-based producer Domaine Du Nival is located. Experience a more serious, aromatic side of Gamay. Perfect for Bojo lovers who want something cerebral and sophisticated.
- Matthieu and Denis Beauchemin founded Domaine du Nival in 2013, and Matthieu referred to it as, “a bad idea that wouldn’t quit.” We think he made the right call.
- Domaine Du Nival keeps production small, preferring to craft quality, honestly-made wines.
- “Un de ces quatre” translates to something like, “One of these days…” in English, which is a sly little quip about how hard it is to get Gamaret to grow in Montreal.
- Matthieu came across Gamaret while studying in Switzerland and fell in love with the varietal. It’s quite possible he’s the only person in Quebec who has Gamaret vines.
