A spontaneously fermented natural sparkling cider with a blend made from Arkansas Black and smaller amounts of other apples. A distinctive looking apple, the Arkansas Black apple is deeply hued, and looks like it belongs in a story from the Brothers Grimm. Hazy, with good acidity and plenty of funk!

Pen Druid was founded by three brothers, Lain, Van and Jennings Carney - who also happen to be a part of a Psychedelic Rock Band, called Pontiak.
In the winter of 2015/2016, the brothers created their own cocktail of wild yeasts from the Virginia Piedmont, reflecting the unique terroir of the region.
Arkansas Black apples are extremely tart, and require plenty of time before revealing vanilla and cinnamon aromas.
