Beaujolais for everyday.
This is Remi Dufaitre’s village offering, and undergoes a shorter maceration period than his other wines, resulting in a casual, chilled-out Bojo. This featherlight wine is alive, and composed of Gamay grapes that thrive on clay soils. After harvest, the grapes were fermented in concrete tanks and bottled with zero sulfur.
- Remi Dufaitre is the Ringo Starr of Kermit Lynch’s Gang of Four, and is all about classic, traditional styles of Beaujolais.
- Remi Dufaitre and his wife Laurence began purchasing vines all around Brouilly and the Côte de Brouilly in 2006, initially selling them to a local co-op.
- Eventually, Remi made and bottled his first vintage in 2010 after being mentored by Jean Foillard.
- Remy performs routine analysis to see how the yeast is performing and tries to avoid volatility.
