Rare, single vineyard Muscadet
Muscadet can be serious too. The Luneau family takes so much care and consideration for this wine that they are the only producers in Muscadet to bottle single vineyard expressions of their terroir, and have been doing so since the ‘80s. This wine is composed of 100% Melon de Bourgogne from a single parcel (a monopole) – the Clos des Alées vineyard. The wine was vinified in underground vats lined with glass tiles and rested on its lees for that signature zestiness.
- Pierre-Marie and Marie Luneau oversee their 39-hectare family-owned estate in Le Landreau, and the Domaine has roots that date back to the early 18th Century.
- The harvest for each wine is done by hand, which is extremely rare for this region.
- After 2011, the family made serious changes to the winery and let go of 50+ hectares of land in order to successfully convert to certified organic production.
- They are in the process of obtaining their biodynamic certification.
- Kumamoto Oysters.
- Silver ice buckets.
- Top hat and tails.
