Welcome to the Côt Club.
Côt is the super secret hidden gem of wine geeks everywhere. Technically, Côt is the French version of Malbec, and is typically more herbal and lighter than its Argentinian counterpart. This version from the Loire is restrained, brambly and super inky.
- This wine was crafted by Jean-Christophe Jezequel, a newbie to the Loire Valley wine scene who has worked with legends like Pascal and Moses of Les Capriades, Hervé Villemade, and Jerome Lenoir.
- Côt tends to be a higher yielding grape than Argentinian Malbec.
- Great spots to find solid expressions of Côt would be the Loire Valley, and Cahors.
