Pure intensity from the Loire.
Jérôme Saurigny’s VDF Rouge Reclair is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gamay and Grolleau from France’s Loire Valley. Pithy, intense and dark, this wine is nothing short of striking. The wine was fermented with native yeasts, with no additives of any kind.
- Jérôme Saurigny studied Oenology in Bordeaux, and was mentored by Sébastien Dervieux of Les Griottes who inspired him to make no-intervention wine.
- Jérôme started making wine in 2007 and works with Chenin, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet vines – all are farmed without chemicals.
- He was introduced to the wines of Patrick Desplats and Sébastien Dervieux by his brother.
