Bottled bronzed beauty.
A barely-there orange made of 100% Chenin Blanc from Loire Valley-based producer Pierre-Olivier Bonhomme. Loads of texture coupled with aromas of beeswax, orange peel, and spiced pear. Rich, fuller-bodied and a little spicy - in a good way.
- Thierry Puzelat, a legend in the Loire Valley, is the OG behind Domaine Pierre-Olivier Bonhomme, founded in 1999; he had a desire to preserve the rapidly dwindling stocks of indigenous Loire varietals like Pineau d’Aunis, Menu Pineau, and Romorantin.
- In 2009, Pierre-Olivier Bonhomme, a motivated teenager with a passion for wine who dropped out of high school, joined forces with Thierry Puzelat and their collaboration received its namesake.
- The vines of Chenin Blanc are 25 years old and thrive in clay, flint and limestone soils from the Ormeau des Deux Croix parcel in the Loire Valley.
- The vines are macerated for one month in a mixture of fiberglass and amphora.
