Refined, drinkable Haut Médoc.
This Bordeaux from the Left Bank is meant to be enjoyed young. A blend of 33% Merlot, 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Petit Verdot, lively red wine was honestly crafted by Michel Théron, who has been making wine since the 1980s. Michel makes a conscious choice to use less than 25% new oak, in an effort to preserve the freshness of the wine.
- Languedoc-born Michel Theron studied oenology in Bordeaux in 1988, not intending to stay, but he fell in love with Stephanie, a Bordelais woman.
- After they married, the couple began making wine from a small parcel they purchased in Cantenac in 1993.
- The property is currently 7 hectares in Arsac, Cantenac and Margaux.
- Soils on the property are a mixture of gravel and sand, and all vines are biodynamically farmed.
