Rustic native red
The Story: An earthy, smoky, blue-fruit red from Braucol grapes ((also known as Fer Servadou), this is an old Southwest France style getting its modern dues from Stephané Lucas’ fine touch. Longer maceration, yet gentle tannins and elegance.
- Braucol dates to the 1780s, is planted all over the Southwest, and often used in Galliac blends.
- Lucas farms just .77 hectares and only grows Braucol, but he does it meticulously with deep commitment to organic and biodynamics.
- 100% Braucol from a parcel planted in soils rich with clay, limestone, and gravel which is then pressed after 12 days of maceration,
