An intensely personal wine that was created after Marek’s grandmother, “Manka,” passed away after spending the last 10 years of her life bedridden after a stroke. Manka taught Marek about the importance of older indigenous grapes, which inspired him to save a few old vineyards that remained. The Queen Mom was created from an unknown mixture of wild clones on poor soil, and is a beautiful testament to forgotten things.
