Herbal + floral liquid amber.
Kisi is a rare grape from Georgia (the country, not the state) with little exposure in the US. For those who love all things floral and fruity – Kisi is definitely worth trying. This wine was fermented in Qvevri, prior to being buried in the ground and aged in these vessels until the spring.
- Qvevri are handmade, egg-shaped, buried large clay vessels used to ferment and age wine.
- In the spring, the wine is drunk during big celebrations called a supra, while the leftovers are bottled.
- A supra is a traditional - and often extravagant - Georgian meal considered to be the center of Georgian social life.
- Gifting a bottle of this to your friend who has six perfumes.
- Spa days.
