'Basket' is a fun 2021-only skin contact experiment. 2021 ended up being a bigger crop across the board which left a few odds and ends that needed a home, and voila! Basket was born. A barrel of Pinot Gris was blended with Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer and macerated in the shade for up to 5 days, then fermented in barrel until the following May. Lightly aromatic and gentle tannins and balanced acidity.
Vibes with:
- Revisiting a bottle over the course of a few days -- air will change it considerably!
- Grilled cheese sandwiches.
- Sunsets in the mountains.
