Burgundy’s best kept secret –
Domaine Simon Bize is one of our personal favorites, and this property sources fruit from some of Savigny-les-Beaune’s best sites. This particular bottle was sourced from a parcel planted with Chardonnay vines in 1995 after an unsuccessful attempt at growing Pinot Noir. The brisk, northerly winds preserve the tension in the fruit for this wine.
Domaine Simon Bize was founded in 1880, and has been within the Bize family for several generations.
- The Domaine is currently helmed by Chisa Bize, Marielle BIze and the entire team carrying on the legacy of the family.
- The wines are all vinified with minimal oak - if any - in an aim to preserve transparency and emphasize the precious terroirs of the domain.
