Vin de Paille - or straw wine - refers to the traditional practice of drying the grapes on straw mats prior to pressing. This 50/50 split of Chardonnay and Savagnin from the Côtes du Jura is a sumptuously sweet wine, without being cloying. Purple figs with crystallized rock sugar.
- Géraud and Pauline Fromont began Domaines de Marnes Blanches when they were both in their mid-20s, and are up-and-coming winemakers in the region.
- The vineyards are divided in the towns of Cesancey, Vincelles and Ste-Agnès.
- Some of the vines at the estate are up to 100 years old.
