This blend of Chardonnay and Rousanne from Benoit Roseau is sourced from grapes picked in passes prior to being foot trodden and fermented in steel or resin tanks for neutrality. The wines were pressed off in an old basket press prior to being raised in 600L demi-muid barrels. A wine with all the round and supple characteristics so synonymous with Rhône whites that pulses with a precise freshness from Beonit’s deft hand.
Benoit Roseau grew up in the Northern Rhône and comes from a long line of grape growers.
He built his domain from the ground up and converted a sheep shelter into a cellar.
Benoit does all his wines with the same technique, and for this wine the Chardonnay and Rousanne grapes come from his home vineyard.
The vines sit roughly 400 meters above sea level on soils of clay and granite.
