A four-grain farmhouse ale conditioned with New York state Montmorency cherries and red and black currants from the Hudson Valley. Every summer the Shawangunk Ridge and the rest of our surrounding area abounds with wild blueberries, strawberries, huckleberries, raspberries, black caps, and mulberries. Since people have inhabited the region, folks have traveled paths along the ridge foraging berries for themselves and to sell in town. Our homage to the annual berry harvest is a series of fruited farmhouse ales called Berry Pickers’ Path. We select New York-grown berry varieties based on seasonal availability and age them on a bright, light-bodied farmhouse ale brewed with NY grain and hops, fermented with Brettanomyces.
