Apple cider with a Loire Valley sensibility.
A cider done in the Pét Nat method with apples from a 150 year old orchard in the remote San Juan Islands from Piquenique Wines. Piquenique is a collaboration between Tess Bryant and Nic Coturri, two wine industry veterans who wanted to transition into crafting rare ciders from one-of-a-kind orchards. Complex, elegant, and refreshing.
- Tess Bryant is an importer, who started her own distribution company and Nic Coturri hails from California Natty Wine Royalty; the two teamed up in 2020 to start Piquenique Ciders.
- Blue Moon Cuvee 2 features apples from a very old farmstead in Waldron Island.
- This cider stylistically emulates the Pét Nats of the Loire; fresh, crisp and sophisticated.
