Generally, Domaine Bonnet Cotton produces one Brouilly. But in 2020, they produced a single vineyard Brouilly bottling from the Bonnège parcel, which they had been leasing for two generations. 2020 marked the last year the domaine has access to the fruit after the land was sold. Truly a time capsule of a place and time in a bottle!
After working as a motorcycle mechanic for a short period of time, Pierre Cotton returned to his roots - no pun intended - and reclaimed one hectare of vines from his family’s plot. Pierre currently works with his partner, Marine Bonnet, who joined the domaine in 2020. Cotton’s terroir is located within a unique parcel of the Côte de Brouilly that consists of a special pink granite and diorite, which Pierre claims is found nowhere else within the region.
