Catawba was once praised as the first great American wine grape to be produced from our soils. This vibrant wine has citrus flavors and aromas that remind us of summertime happiness. We believe the time is ripe for its return.
This 2021 vintage was made from Catawba vines planted in the 1970s and organically-farmed near Keuka Lake. The grapes were crushed at our farm in the Catskills and wild-fermented on their skins for 14 days. The wine aged in neutral oak barrels for 6 months and was bottled the following spring.
