Like many winemakers (and drinkers), Bryn and Jeffrey have a love affair with Loire Valley Chenin Blanc. This is a reflection of that obsession. The fruit is young-vine Chenin from just outside Placerville, CA, grown on clay soils and granite bedrock. 2019 was a hot-as-hell drought year, and they harvested early to preserve acidity in late August, then fermented in an older barrel and bottled in July 2020. Waxy golden apple fruit with a nutty undertone.
