We love Fred. This juicy and earthy wine from the village of Strekov in Slovakia is composed of Alibernet, Dunaj, and Portugeiser. The grapes were hand-harvested and destemmed, and a non-vintage blend of wines were fermented in open top casks prior to being aged in old oak.
- Zsolt Sütó is a winemaker who firmly believes in crafting wines with zero sulfur intervention, to honestly and earnestly express the terroir of Strekov/Kurt, a special place on the border of Slovakia and Hungary.
- The name of the winery is a reference to the first written traces of the village and Zsolt’s house number - which happens to be behind a Socialist era grocery store.
Vibes with:
- Old fashioned mixtapes on burned CDs.
- Striped lounge socks.
- Fried chicken.
