100% Gaglioppo from two vineyards, one flat at sea level and one on a hillside at 100 meters of altitude; the vine age is 9-46 years. Harvested in late September. Maceration lasts 5 days; aging is in stainless steel for 18 months, followed by 8 months of bottle aging. In the cool and balanced 2016 vintage, this wine did not reach the 13.5% alcohol required to be able to be called Superiore.
