One glass of the Contre-Pied 2 conjures up memories of picking blackberries in the Summertime. This blend of 70% Braucol and 30% Duras features long forgotten grapes indigenous to Southwestern France. The fruit was hand-harvested, destemmed and macerated in tanks with indigenous yeasts prior to spending 6 months in stainless for added freshness.

Domaine Plageoles was founded by Robert Plageoles, who prided himself in bringing back lost indigenous grapes to the region of Gaillac.
The terroir here is made up of limestone, clay, sand and silex soils.
Braucol is a rare grape in Southwestern France that is sometimes called “Fer” which is French for iron.
