There’s a rich history of traditional method sparklers from the Jura and, in my experience, I’ve found them to be serious, interesting, and affordable. This wine made by Pauline and Geraud Fromont (Marnes Blanches) is no exception! 100% Chardonnay aged for 24 months on its lees in neutral barrels; couldn’t ask for more. Tastes like Honeycrisp apples and bright citrus with lovely white flower aromas.
100% Chardonnay from a single parcel of 55-60 year old vines. Partially fermented in stainless steel before aging over lees for 24 months in barriques. Elegant, long, with notes of stone fruit and citrus.
