THE SUMMER BUMMER PACK INCLUDES:
Capriades 'La Bulle Rouge' NV: A rich, ripe sparkling that's closer to Gragnano than your typical Loire valley pet nat. Made of 100% Gamay Teinturier, a red fleshed Gamay that gives wines a noticeably darker color and richer fruit profile. A wine that engulfs you with fruit and a velvety loose-ness.
NoLem 2019: This wine is really cool, because it's Muscadet that goes through malolactic fermentation (i.e. it's creamier, rounder). And it's from Manu Landron, son of Muscadet legend Jo Landron, and Marion Pescheux. They set up their small estate in 2013 and make parcel-specific Muscadet. A tiny bit of barnyard on the nose, a creamy body.
Bulle Ton Body NV: A ridiculously delicious sparkling from Marnes Blanches. 100% Chardonnay from negoce fruit and the leanest of their bubbles. You won't feel too guilty drinking this out a plastic cup, but it will definitely stand out in the group.
Sammay Negre 2020: I just spent three days in the car with Jose Pastor rep Nick Africano, driving around Buffalo and occasionally talking wine. The Sammay was created by Oriol Artigas to have a more (price) approachable wine in his lineup. The wine's name comes from a mashup of Jose and Oriol's children's names -- intended to reflect the playful/youthful nature of the wine. Zero sulfur (drink in a day).
