Evan Lewandowski is a self-taught winemaker who struck up a relationship with Zev Rovine while working at a wine bar called The Spotted Frog, and after working at several wineries all around the world, he earned a degree at The Walla Walla institute for Viticulture and Enology.
2021 was a remarkably low-yielding vintage, and the folks at Ruth Lewandowski had to get a little creative when searching for their fruit from their beloved Fox Hill Vineyard this year.
The Fox Hill Vineyard is a living, breathing testament to Italian varietals, and rests between Ukiah and Hopland near the Russian River, with sandstone soil.
