Alanna Lagamba has knocked it out of the park with her second volume of this fizzified equal parts blend of Dornfelder, Siegerrebe, Johanniter and Riesling from the Rheinhessen. All varietals were sourced from the rising star German grower, Martin Woerner. Hoppy watermelon, cream soda, and herbs.
- Alanna moved from Canada to Berlin at the tender age of 25, and met Martin Wörner - a popular German vigneron.
- She fell in love with viticulture - and Martin as well - and learned how to make wine.
- Frauenpower is her first wine, all spontaneously fermented.
- Dornfelder is a German dark-skinned variety that is very full-bodied and complex.
- Siegerrebe, which means Victory Vine in German, is a Rheinhessen born cross between Gewürztraminer and Madeline Angevine.
