Gamay with major gravitas.
An old school, ageworthy Gamay that doesn’t play. Rhymes aside, this badass bottle doesn’t see any carbonic. It's made the old fashioned way, and by that we mean whole cluster, foot stomped, and open top fermented. It puts the “G” in “OG” (Original Gamay.)
- La Clarine Farm is a two person team of Hank Beckmeyer and Catherine Hoël - both refugees from the music business - who found a nice property at 2,600 feet elevation in the Sierra Foothills.
- Both Hank and Catherine had thought about trying their hand at Gamay many times, except the opportunity hadn’t presented itself. This changed when Chuck Mansfield drove them high into the hills to find a parcel of Gamay because he wanted to see what they could do with it.
- This wine took a bit of time to come into its own, and it is recommended you decant and serve with a slight chill before enjoying.
