Ludo Chanson said the 2019 "Implicite" was made from,"the most beautiful grapes you can pick." We'll take his word for it. This 100% Chenin Blanc from old vines grown in the Loire is a knockout. Spontaneously fermented in neutral oak with a long élevage, yielding a powerful and ageworthy Chenin. Ludo considers this his “vin de garde,” but we think you could drink it now. So what’s one to do? Buy two, maybe?

Ludovic Chanson’s primary aim is to produce minimal intervention white wines out of the Loire Valley.
He left his job in pharmaceutical research in 2007 and worked for the renowned Vouvray producer, Vincent Carême prior to making his inaugural vintage in 2009.
The Chenin vines thrive on a mixture of soil and heavy clay with a deep limestone base.
