Don’t worry, be happy.
Iruai’s Lounge Lizard rosé is tangy and kombucha-esque, with a smidgen of residual sugar. This wine is made exclusively of the Italian varietal, Teroldego, and grown in the Shasta-Cascade Mountains of Siskiyou County, California. A low abv rosé that comes in at a whopping 12%, making it the perfect bevvie to drink ice cold during the dog days of Summer (or any time you want to bring Summer to you.)
- Iruai was started in 2013 by Chad and Michelle Westbrook Hinds - formerly of Methode Sauvage - in Berkeley, CA as a gypsy natural wine project, before settling in the Shasta-Cascade Mountains.
- They use avant garde vineyard planting and rehabilitation techniques from Masanobu Fukoka and some ideas of their own.
- Chad and Michelle describe the unique terroir of Western Siskiyou County as a cross between Switzerland and Montana; lending their wines an alpine vibe.
- Teroldego is a deep red, fruity grape, commonly found in Alto Adige.
