Les Clos Roussots is a walled vineyard within the Côtes de Beaune with a gentle slope, clay and limestone soils, and a warmer climate. The Pinot Noir that comes out of this Premier Cru vineyard has significantly more body and weight than from some of the other sites. The vines were Biodynamically farmed and harvested by hand prior to fermenting whole cluster in neutral oak. The finished juice rested on its lees for 18 months prior to bottling, yielding a rich and opulent expression of Burg.

Maison en Belles Lies is helmed by Pierre Fenals, who had a lifelong dream of becoming a winemaker.
After a career in fashion, he decided to move to Burgundy and become a vigneron.
He was introduced to Biodynamics after purchasing one of Rudolph Steiner’s books on biodynamics at a Parisian flea market.
The name Maison En Belles Lies derives from a practice developed by 17th century monks who would dry their barrels and rub them with lees from the vintage.
