A fresh, juicy blend of Merlot (70%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), and Cabernet Franc (5%) that's closer to Beaujolais than dark, brooding Merlot. The Merlot and Cabs are blended two ways: 50% is direct press rosé from Yuba (the secret sauce) and 50% is whole cluster from Nevada County. Bottled in July 2020, the wine is a delight, and a lovely indication of the style Ellsworth is after. With lots of bright red fruit that's lean while still complex, it's a chilled red that isn’t just glou glou.
