“Baby hold on to me…”
Another legendary offering from Lilian Duplessis, the Montee de Tonnerre 2015 Magnum is composed of 100% Chardonnay that thrives on kimmeridgian limestone from Domaine Gerard Duplessis. Lilian Duplessis is renowned throughout the wine world for his ability to produce natural Chablis in an appellation that is virtually impossible to do so. This stunning magnum is lean and bright, with the potential to age for 4-15 years in the cellar.
- Domaine Gérard Duplessis spans five generations, and dates back to 1895; Lilian Duplessis took over for his father in 1999.
- The Chardonnay vines thrive in Kimmeridgian Clay and Limestone soils.
- Lilian had the opportunity to study winemaking in New Zealand and other parts of the globe, but the guy knows what he likes – and it’s Chablis.
- Kimmeridgian limestone is unique to the Chablis AOC and has fossils of ancient sea life.
- Summer banquets.
- Crab Cakes.
