Tucked away in the White Mountains of northern New Hampshire lies Mount Cabot, a steep faced mountain with a band of sugar maples wrapped around its waist. Our family operated sugar house lies in the midst of the these small, historically sugared woods. Each spring the sweet sap of the sugar maple moves from its roots to its limbs to promote new leaf growth, and this sap, when gathered and boiled down, becomes a sweet liquid gold known as maple syrup.
