The Original Ritterguts Gose is the oldest existing, most authentic Gose in the world and has been around since 1824. A slightly tangy and refreshing beer with plenty of balance due to a secondary lactic fermentation process. Fermented exclusively in open top vats, with a slow cold maturation period in the spirit of tradition.
- Original Ritterguts Gose is brewed in partnership with the Reichenbrand Brewery in Chemnitz.
- Reichenbrand Brewery’s motto is “Klein, aber fein,” which means, “Small, but specialized and precise.”
- Master brewer Michel Bergt brews their Gose according to tradition, with open top fermenters to create a more natural maturing process.
- German Goses are sour, unfiltered German wheat beers that have a slightly salty tang.
