This Slovenian Pét Nat is made in the ancestrale method with secondary fermentation occurring spontaneously in the bottle. Composed Sipon - or Furmint - a grape indigenous to the region. Plenty of sharp citrus fruit aromas, with a pleasantly wild and feral quality.

Matja Žerjav is a third generation winemaker who took over managing the winery at the tender age of 24.
Matic Wines is within the predominantly white wine region of Štarjerska, close to the borders of Austria and Hungary.
The wines are kept in an old cellar from 1852 that is completely underground, so the temperature can be maintained throughout the year from 50 to 54 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Sipon comes from a vineyard of 50-year-old vines, and is one of Matic’s gems.
