Reina is know as a pioneer for women in mezcal. She is from the town of Lachiguizo, just outside of Miahuatlan, Oaxaca. She learned how to distill from her grandfather, Ignacio Sanchez, and believes that every aspect of the process is important to the end result; the stone, agave, water, and hands.
Tequilana agave is commonly know as "blue agave" (typically used for tequila). It's milled by hand (machete and wooden mallet) and double distilled in copper alambique. Funky, rotting sweet pineapple (in a delightful way) with a lighter than air palate. For the aromatically adventurous/classic drinker at heart.
