100% Vermentino from En Cavale, a collaboration between Wolfgang Weber and Chad Hinds of Iruai. This Vermentino is from the Rorick Heritage Vineyard -- a historical vineyard site in the Sierra Foothills purchased and converted to organics by Matthew Rorick (of Forlorn Hope) in 2013. The site sits at 2000' elevation, on limestone beneath a top layer of schist, and is planted with lots of varieties, many Italian, not commonly seen in CA.

En Cavale is a collaboration between friends Wolfgang Weber and Chad Hinds of Methode Sauvage.
The wines are a nod to their favorite wines from France and Italy.
The higher altitude combined with limestone soils means fruit from this site is known for its expressive aromatics and integrated acidity.
