The ultimate brunch wine.
A sparkling Cabernet Franc rosato from the Veneto, the Ombretta Vino Rosato Frizzante Mosso is a refreshingly crisp day drinker's delight. Loads of aromas of grapefruit kissed with sea salt, this peach-hued libation conjures up images of endless Summer days and warm weather fun.
- Alex Della Vecchia started Ombretta Agricola in 2017 after apprenticing under Ernesto Cattel of Costadilà, a highly respected prosecco producer who believed in preserving the ancient traditions of yore.
- His family lives in an old Monastery that dates back to the 16th Century, and they keep a mixture of donkeys, goats and cows on the property.
- “Ombretta,” is Venetian slang for, “Little glass of wine.”
- The Cabernet Franc vines were initially pressed and aged in vats for the primary fermentation, then bottled with a little bit of juice from the same harvest for their secondary fermentation.
Vibes with:
- Game of freeze tag.
- Panzanella salad.
- Cheating on your usual Aperol Spritz. (We won’t tell.)
