Evan Lewandowski is a self-taught winemaker who struck up a relationship with Zev Rovine while working at a wine bar called The Spotted Frog; after working at several wineries all around the world, he earned a degree at The Walla Walla institute for Viticulture and Enology.
This rosé is a mixture of Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) Souzão, and Touriga Nacional sourced from Rorick Heritage Vineyard and Fox Hill Vineyard.
Souzão and Touriga Nacional are typically used in port production in both the United States and Portugal, and Evan chose to use them in this wine to show a different side to these interesting varieties.
