Major agua fresca vibes! This is a dangerously drinkable pet nat made of the rare hybrid grape, Seibel 5455, from Les Chemins de L’Arkose in Auvergne. Seibel 5455 is also called Plantlet, and was widely planted in France during the 1960s before French wine legislation prohibited it. (Which explains the cheeky mugshots on the label.) Law aside, hybrid grapes that are better adapted to the changing climate continue to rise in popularity amongst vignerons.
