This is one heck of a Chenin Blanc from La Porte Saint Jean. This stunner from Saumur subregion of the Loire Valley was aged in 40% new oak for 18 months with very little sulfur added at bottling. This wine has purity, tension and salinity. Complicated, layered and surprisingly age-able - throw it in a decanter or tuck it away for your future self.

Sylvain Dittiere grew up in Saumur, where his family earned their living growing roses.
He studied oenology and interned with Gerard Gauby, Marc Tempe, Thierry Germain and Antoine Foucault.
