100% Chardonnay sourced from a vineyard of steeply planted vines on the slopes of Saint-Romain with plenty of limestone. The fruit was direct pressed, then went straight to barrel where it rested on its lees for added texture. Sharp citrus fruit with minerality aplenty; one of the great values of the region!
Frederic Cossard is a self-made vigneron in the world’s most prestigious wine region. Prior to winemaking, he specialized in crafting raw, unpasteurized cheeses and brought the same ethos to viticulture. Domaine de Chassorney was started in 1996, and since then has expanded to 10 hectares in several small villages. All wines are left to rest on their lees for one year, without any racking or stirring.
