Natural -- like Summer in the ‘70s.
This ultra natty white features 100% Menu Pineau, a rare varietal primarily planted in the Loire Valley. Unfiltered and aged in amphora, this funky and minerally white has loads of sour green apple aromas kissed with cracked white pepper. The perfect conversation starter!
- Hervé Villemade took over his father’s plot of vines in 1995, and developed a very serious allergy to sulfur in 1997. During the year 2000 he decided to convert his property over to organic viticulture.
- Menu Pineau is also called Arbois Blanc, and was one of the most popular varietals planted within the Loire Valley in the late 20th Century.
- The wine was fermented and aged in sandstone amphora for nine months, with zero intervention.
