- Thierry Puzelat, a legend in the Loire Valley, is the OG behind Domaine Pierre-Olivier Bonhomme, founded in 1999; he had a desire to preserve the rapidly dwindling stocks of indigenous Loire varietals like Pineau d’Aunis, Menu Pineau, and Romorantin.
- In 2009, Pierre-Olivier Bonhomme, a motivated teenager with a passion for wine who dropped out of high school, joined forces with Thierry Puzelat and their collaboration received its namesake.
- This wine comes from a single parcel of rare 80+ year old Meslier-Saint-François vines that grow in the Touraine.
- Meslier-Saint-François is a rare cross of Chenin Blanc and Gouais Blanc.
