100% Gamay Rosé
In the last few decades, the Puzelat family have cultivated an undeniable swell and rhythm in the Loire, where they were among the first in the region to move toward natural winemaking (especially polyculture and organic farming), eventually becoming the first natural Loire producer to be exported to the US.
A badass fact: While working in the Touraine and Cheverny AOCs, Thierry Puzelat decided to declassify their wines to VdF altogether, affording the family the chance to continue moving in their own way. For their hard work, they’ve been rewarded with outstanding wines that simply can't be standardized.
As with so many special things, Clos du Tue Boeuf’s wines are arriving on this side in smaller quantities each year. Still, the magic remains. Thierry Puzelat’s favorite wines to drink are the ones “where the bottle is empty in less than five minutes,” but you can talk to a plethora of witnesses (many found at Domestique) that attest to the unwavering age-worthiness of these cuvées, too.
