The hot pink print of a neat 4x4 masquerade grid on Fabien Jouves’ Cab Franc/Cot concoction feels all too apropos given the current climate. Granted, circumstances call for covering of the mouth and nose but a mask is a mask, so take the correlation with a bit of sediment (we support it in our wines after all) and, if nothing else, buy this bottle off the art alone; though cliché reminds us to avoid superficiality, you won’t be disappointed.
Dark fruit dipped in spice corresponds with a medium plus acidity and a pleasantly dry finish for a glass fully capable of glugging on it’s own or matching with your next barbecue. Instagram the label, mask on and all.
