100% Welschriesling aged in Oak from the Schmelzer family in Gols, Austria. Georg Schmelzer works biodynamically according to the strict Demeter guidelines. He is among the pioneers of biodynamic viticulture. In respect of nature, he vinifies regional wines. Hand-harvested late in season. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, gravity-fed/no pumping and left to age sur lie for several months. He holds his wines back and only releases them when they are ready.
